Dr. Belinda A. Savage-Edwards

M.D., FAAN, AQH

Dr. Savage-Edwards is a board-certified Neurologist, Electromyographer, and Headache Medicine Specialist. She is a graduate of Michigan State University and received her doctorate in medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

She completed her Neurology residency and fellowship in Electrodiagnostic Medicine and Neuromuscular Diseases at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI.

Dr. Savage-Edwards is a published author and serves on several local and national committees, including the Wellness Committee of the Madison County Medical Society and the American Academy of Neurology(AAN). She was selected as an Alabama Delegate to represent the AANon Capitol Hill in Washington DC to advocate on behalf of all neurology patients. In addition, she was selected and graduated from the AAN’s inaugural leadership program, Live Well, Lead Well.

Dr. Savage-Edwards is the Principal Investigator for numerous adult and pediatric clinical trials. She is also an Ambassador for the Research Matters for All of Us Initiative, which is a collaboration between the Delta Research and Educational Foundation and the National Institutes for Health. She serves on the Speaker Bureau for Eli Lilly, Biohaven, and AbbVie, and is a member of the Eli Lilly Global Education Advisory Board. Dr. Savage-Edwards uses her Neurology practice as a vehicle to teach the importance of a healthy lifestyle in preventing and treating such diseases as migraine headaches, stroke, memory disorders, and certain autoimmune diseases.

Dr. Ted Edwards

Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine

Dr. Ted Edwards, D.O., was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, and is a graduate of Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He obtained his Doctorate of Osteopathy at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa.

His transitional internship was at Grace Hospital located in Detroit, MI, and his residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation was completed at East Carolina University located in Greenville, North Carolina.

Dr. Edwards has been practicing Osteopathic Medicine for over twenty years with a special interest in pain management, including both spinal and cervical injection therapy. In addition to his pain management practice, Dr. Edwardshas a Wellness clinic where he advises his patients on the importance of proper dietary nutrition, healthy weight, and hormonal balance. In addition, he treats Erectile Dysfunction and other conditions using state-of-the-art shock wave treatments. Dr. Edwards is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American Osteopathic Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Don Smith

Physical Therapist

Mr. Smith has 45 yrs of experience as a Licensed Physical Therapist. Graduated from Loma Linda University, Loma Linda, California, in June 1974 with a BS degree in Allied Health Sciences, Physical Therapy. Since graduating, he has owned a private practice for 32 years in the State of California.

His special interest is in Myofascial Pain Disorder and Neurological Rehabilitation with an emphasis on stroke rehab. Since leaving his practice, he has managed several PT departments, mostly in CA.

Leslie Hudson

Physician Assistant

Leslie Hudson, a native of Jacksonville, AL, attended Birmingham-Southern College, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She enrolled in the Physician Assistant program at Nova Southeastern University in Jacksonville, FL, and graduated in 2012.

Prior to working at Rehabilitation and Neurological Services, Leslie cared for neurology patients in Albuquerque, NM, and in northern Virginia. Leslie enjoys listening to music, spending time in nature, and spending time with her husband and three children.

Haley Pongetti

Family Nurse Practitioner

Haley is originally from Starkville, Mississippi, home to Mississippi State University, but she relocated to Huntsville, Alabama, in 2017. She attended Mississippi University for Women for her Bachelor’s in Science of Nursing degree and obtained her Master in Science of Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner degree in 2019 from the University of Alabama in Birmingham (UAB).

Prior to joining RNS, Haley worked at Huntsville Hospital as a Registered Nurse in Internal Medicine and later as a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

Haley is passionate about Neurology and Geriatrics. In her free time, Haley enjoys creating art, visiting with friends and family, and spending time with her husband, Johnny, and their two cats.


Sara Khan

Family Nurse Practitioner

Sara Khan is a native of Huntsville, AL. She obtained her schooling at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and graduated with her Master of Science as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2017. Prior to becoming a provider at Rehabilitation & Neurological Services, Sara worked as a Registered Nurse at Crestwood Medical Center for seven years. Sara also worked as a research nurse for a local clinic for four years while obtaining her nurse practitioner degree.

Sara enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, and caring for her farm animals.


Dr. Tameka Lewis

Doctor of Philosophy

Tameka Lewis, Ph.D., is the General Supervisor and Toxicologist at Apex Diagnostic Lab. Dr. Lewis earned her doctoral degree in Biotechnology Science & Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. She received her M.S. in Chemistry from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. She received her B.S. in Chemistry from Alabama State University.

Dr. Lewis has seven-plus years of experience in data collection and analysis, test validations, assay troubleshooting, and laboratory management for drug monitoring using tandem liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS).
